Jeffrey R. Gnecco, Esq
Jeffrey R. Gnecco joined J. Miller & Associates in 2009 as head of the firm's Midcoast Maine office in Thomaston. A native of Kennebunk, Maine, Jeff earned his B.A. in liberal arts at Sarah Lawrence College in 1998, and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2003. He is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School.
Jeff's practice is focused on helping people turn good ideas into viable, successful ventures. As a lawyer, this has led him to focus on working with entrepreneurs and small businesses to craft corporate structures, operating rules and principles, contracts and other agreements, and long-term strategic plans, while providing ongoing legal advice and support in an outside general counsel role.
Jeff is also committed to helping people navigate the frustrating complexities of the legal system to resolve disputes and plan for the future with an emphasis on dignity.
Before joining the firm, Jeff taught business law and marketing at East-West University in Chicago while volunteering as a communications specialist at the Obama campaign headquarters. He has previously run his own law practice, played guitar in a successful band, composed and recorded music for two films, cooked in a vegetarian restaurant and Chicago's best deli, and sold suits and ties for Brooks Brothers.
